Who: 24 women from Poland, Hungary, Czech and Slovak Republic
The workshop is open to all women representing local communities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary who participate in developing communities mainly in the intercultural and inclusive environment; want to learn how to take action creatively or to alert the public to local issues using nonviolent tools of communication; are interested in women’s rights issues and want to contribute to related public debate; seek to make their voices heard; want to strengthen their participation in their communities; are having the experience of migration, belonging to an ethnic minority and encounter gender issues in their lives.
What to expect: respectful, intercultural and inclusive environment; meeting new women from different communities from all over the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary; possibility to share the realities and experience with migration, gender and ethnicity across the various communities; creative work and program including training in community arts (theater, mural painting, community music, dance, landart) with experience of taking action in public space.
The training is a part of the project „Migration Through the Lens of Gender and Art“, which brings voices of women with experience of migration into the public debate and public action in the Visegrad countries.
The organizer covers the costs for accommodation, board and travel for all participants
(travel costs will be reimbursed during the training).
Language of the event: the program will be held in English with interpretation into Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian languages.
Applications with name, short description of work/activities and motivation to participate in the training are accepted in English, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and Polish up to 3 March 2017 through the partner organizations:
